Vintage, Tintin and Mabel

Here's a spooky little thing.... all that talk about the new Tintin film and look what I've found ...
Tintin on fabric - not only that but Tintin, on fabric, taken from The Secret of the Unicorn! Ooh er...

I found some Magic Roundabout cotton too which I'm thinking probably dates from the seventies.

We were reminiscing here about the time that we (me and the kids) watched the classic Dougal and the Blue Cat feature film.

The kids complained at the time that they had no idea what was going on...which of course is true. Not because they were too young, just because none of us knew what was happening or why. It didn't matter though!

On the other hand, the 85 minutes of my life that I gave to Thomas and the Magic Railroad is 85 minutes I'll never get back. I saw it in 2000 and I'm still resentful. However, I digress!

On a cheerier note, I spent considerably more than 85 minutes on Mabel, but rather enjoyed it and now...she's...finished! Ta Da!

Ooh I'm liking Mabel a lot! Great job.

I don't think I could bring myself to sit and watch a feature length Thomas, that creepy train and his ill-mannered sanctimonious friends make me want to chew off my own arm. That said, I have seen Bob the Builder on the big screen.

Ah, thank you Lakota. Mabel is done and I'm moving on to Iris.

I don't mind a bit of Bob though I'm guessing even he may suffer on the big screen. I maintain that Thomas & the Magic Railroad is definitely the worst film of all time, and I've seen Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Hotel for Dogs

Wonderful fabric..no wonder Tin Tin was snapped up. Not sure about Thomas...the lady carriages don't come off very well!
Have a great day at The Yard. It's Handmade in Winchester next month! Didn't that fly by? xxx

I can't belive Winchester's only in a couple of weeks or so - I'm SO BEHIND with my sewing it's starting to make me feel a bit light headed. I'll see you there won't I?
